Funding Amounts:

Minimum $30,000 pa Maximum $500,000 pa.

Scheme Objectives

The objectives of the Discovery Projects scheme are to:

  • support excellent basic and applied research by individuals and teams;
  • enhance the scale and focus of research in the Strategic Research Priorities;
  • expand Australia's knowledge base and research capability;
  • encourage research and research training in high-quality research environments;
  • enhance international collaboration in research; and
  • foster the international competitiveness of Australian research.

9am 4 February 2015 Final application on RMS Mandatory Via RMS Submit to Research Office
9am 4 February 2015 Certification forms Mandatory Via email to research-grants@deakin.edu.au
9am 11 February 2015 Requests Not to Assess If required Via email to research-grants@deakin.edu.au

How to apply:

1. Liaise with your Faculty/ SRC

2. If invited, submit an online Notice of Intention to Submit (NOIS) in RMENet (refer instructions)

3. Read the Funding Rules and Instructions to Applicants and FAQ's - 2016 

4. Commence your application in the ARC Research Management System - RMS

5. Use the DU templates provided below and liaise with your Case Manager as necessary

6. Organise relevant certification forms
