Research in this strand explores the social, political, and cultural contexts which shape texts and images of all kinds, and the critical discourses which attend them. Areas of research include postcolonial literature, texts for young people, and the representation and communication of climate change. Researchers in this strand have produced influential publications and have gained ARC Discovery and Linkage grants.
