What we do

IMPACT is an integrated research facility that aims to better understand the causes of and impact of psychiatric, musculoskeletal, metabolic and other disorders and contributes to the development of innovative therapies and preventative interventions.

Research projects have focused on psychiatric disorders, alternative targets to treat the symptoms and factors that can contribute to the prevention of mental disorders.

Under the guidance of Professor Michael Berk (Psychiatry) and Professor Julie Pasco (Epidemiology, Musculoskeletal and Metabolic Disorders), our research is conducted in a number of fields:

  1. Novel Therapies
  2. Prevention of Mental Disorders
  3. Treatment of Mental Disorders
  4. Epidemiology
