The Developing Research Leaders program is being introduced across Deakin University on a Faculty by Faculty basis. The Associate Dean (Research) in each Faculty, the Associate Heads (Research) and the research directors of the relevant Research Institutes work together with the Director, Staff Research Development, to select mid career researchers who have expressed interest in participating in a program and to identify suitable mentors. Advice on potential mentors is also sought from Deans and Heads of Schools.
The Director, Staff Research Development, liaises closely with Faculties, Research Institutes and the Research Services Division in planning programs of events (research seminars, retreats etc) that complement other programs and services provided within the University.
Some seminars organised by the Staff Research Development Office will be open to non-participants in the Developing Research Leaders program where places are available. These will be advertised on the Research Services Events Calendar.
