Where there's a will ...

Deakin University's Frank Will has won the Backyard Innovation section of the Innovation Challenge sponsored by The Australian and Shell.

"It is a great honour to win this award," said Frank, who is a lecturer in engineering at Deakin.

"With so many other wonderful entrants, I did not expect to be the winner."

Frank, a regular competition winner these days, was congratulated on his award by Deakin's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jane den Hollander.

"Well done Frank again and thank you for the hard thinking you do – your output is wonderful to watch," Professor den Hollander said.
