Two Deakin University research projects have been featured on ABC TV science flagship, Catalyst.
The first was the mapping of the Victorian coast by a team of researchers from Deakin's Warrnambool campus, headed by Dr Daniel Ierodiaconou.
The second related to the work being done on koala populations in the Great Otway National Park by Burwood Campus based Dr Desley Whisson, from the Centre for Integrative Ecology.
The Catalyst team members met up with both groups of researchers during their road trip across Australia, which started in the west and ended up on the Australian East Coast, passing along the Great Ocean Road.
And if you want to know why the Great Ocean Road, which lies between the Warrnambool and Geelong campuses, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, watch the Catalyst story about the Cape Otway Lightstation.
When you come to Deakin either as an undergraduate or to enhance your research career, all this and more is just an easy drive away.
