Deakin's dynamic research featured at the Avalon International Airshow.
Deakin's research activities centred around the aviation industry were recently on display at the Avalon International Airshow.
"We have a number of leads that we are hopeful will turn into meaningful business partnerships," he said.
"From both a local and international perspective we certainly raised awareness of what Deakin is capable off in the aerospace and defence world.
"We are also happy to talk to anyone who might have missed the Airshow, but is keen to work with our researchers."

Deakin researcher Michael Norton, who is behind the auto-pilot system, was thrilled with the response to his project.
"We had a lot of people wanting to work with us in the future," Michael said.
"So from my point of view being part of the display was very successful.
"One comment we got quite a lot was that people didn't know that Deakin was involved in this sort of aviation-based research.
"I just kept telling them this is just one-tenth of what we are doing."
As well as Deakin's research activities, there was also information on undergraduate courses at Deakin, particularly in engineering.
