Bachelor of Information Technology

A FLEXIBLE COURSE WITH PATHWAYS INTO DEAKIN'S SPECIALISED DEGREES.

The Bachelor of Information Technology opens doors to a wide range of career opportunities in Information Technology-related fields. Students can gain a broad qualification or select a pathway into a specialised course in Computer Science and Software Development, Multimedia Technology, Games Design and Development, Web and Mobile Technologies or IT Security.

Hands-on Learning

Students benefit from a hands-on approach to learning and all units include practical work using the most advanced technologies. Deakin students have access to top software in fully-equipped computer laboratories and the opportunity to take CISCO units for a head start towards CISCO certification and the Industry-Based Learning program enables undergraduates to work full-time in industry as part of their degree. Majors are available in Information Technology (Computer Science and Software Development), Information Technology (Multimedia Technology), Information Technology (IT Security), Information Technology (Games Design and Development) or Information Technology (Web and Mobile Technologies).
