Each year regional companies give more than 20 outstanding Deakin Engineering students a cash handshake for a job well done.
The heavyweights of regional industry including Ford, Alcoa, Shell and Barwon Water give cash prizes as student awards to reward high academic achievers in Deakin University's engineering and technology degrees. The prizes pledged annually total more than $6000.
The organisations that donate prize money and work experience awards include Ford, Holden, Shell, Alcoa, Huyck, Incitec Pivot, Barwon Water, Godfrey Hirst, Earth Tech Engineering, AGB Group, Factory Controls, Graham Walters and Associates, Jones & Jones Engineering Design, Siemens, Kempe International, Industrial Control Technology, Des Munday & Son, Engineers Australia (Geelong group), Deakin University CAST Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), and CAST CRC headquarters, Queensland.
