Science and Engineering Challenge 2010

It’s not every day you get to build a giant catapult and not get in to trouble for firing it! Year 10 students from the Geelong region and Warrnambool are invited to take part in the 2010 Science and Engineering challenge that will see them design, create and build a variety of projects.

School Visit Program 2010

Deakin University is offering a series of Science and Technology Talks which aims to stimulate the interest of VCE students with the latest information about specialist fields of study in Science and Technology.

Talks will highlight courses offered by Deakin University in:

  • Architecture and Built Environment
  • Engineering
  • Environment
  • Information Technology
  • Science

This year we have introduced a new range of talks, some on areas of interest related to our courses and others designed with the VCE curriculum in mind. We are also happy to tailor our talks to suit your particular curriculum requirements.

For 2010 we have a new team of Course Ambassadors, mainly enthusiastic PhD students, participating in the program. Our PhD students are passionate about their research and keen to share their own experiences at university with secondary school students.

There no costs to schools in our School Talks Program.

Get more information on our exciting new Geelong Region Talks Program topics and Melbourne Region Talks Program topics.
