Information for secondary schools

School Visit Program

The Faculty of Science and Technology invites you to take advantage of our School Visit Program in 2008. We will be visiting secondary schools to provide information on our courses and career outcomes. The Faculty offers a suite of courses in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Architecture and Built Environment. We also offer you the opportunity for one of our academic staff to give a guest lecture in an area of interest to your VCE students.

Outreach Program

Hands-on Science and Technology

We offer an exciting and diverse range of hands-on activities to secondary school students in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Architecture and Built Environment. The Faculty of Science and Technology Outreach Program aims to provide Years 10, 11 and 12 Victorian Secondary School students with a hands-on experience in their own area of interest.

These activities range from Biomedical Science and IT Games Design workshops, through Engineering and Forensic Science demonstrations to Environmental Science fieldwork.

Campus Visits

The Faculty of Science and Technology is pleased to invite your school to participate in the 2008 Deakin Science and Technology Talks series.

We will be visiting secondary schools across Victoria to highlight the extensive range of courses available to your students at our vibrant campuses in Melbourne, Geelong and Warrnambool and would like the opportunity to visit your school.

The Science and Technology Talks series is designed to stimulate the interest of your VCE students by providing the latest information about specialist fields of study from our diverse range of Undergraduate Bachelor programs in Architecture and Built Environment, Engineering, Information Technology, Environment and Science.
