Associate Professor Janine McBurnie
Associate Professor Janine McBurnie is passionate about environmental sustainability and sustainability education. Since 1996 she has been working at Deakin University teaching students in a variety of courses and disciplines, with the aim of inspiring students to become lifelong learners. She has been focussed in the first-year teaching space and was the inaugural faculty director of first year studies in 2019. To complement her passion in protecting our natural environment, she has more recently been active in the integration of Indigenous knowledge and Indigenous engagement in natural resources management.
Associate Professor Janine McBurnie is a career educator with a passion for helping others learn and to question. She is motivated to grow and encourage students and researchers who will make a positive difference in the world.
