Research Partners

A remarkable set of collaborative partnerships characterise the School's research and advisory engagement, including Hydrotasmania, Alcoa, Lindemans Wines, Southcorp, Masterfoods Australia, as well as local management agencies such as catchment management authorities, FRDC, DRDC and Parks Victoria.

In addition, the School is participating in international projects with several major institutions studying diverse topics such as:

Research prgrams have led to the active involvement of School staff in environmental issues of national significance such as river management, salinity control, forest conservation, and sustainable fisheries. In areas such as these, which are often highly contentious and widely debated in the media and at public forums, our research groups are frequently involved in the decision making process itself. Staff of the School thus have a direct influence in shaping environmental management outcomes of critical importance to Australia and the international community. These experiences inform the School's teaching programs.
