Professor Colin Barrow is Chair of Biotechnology. Previously he was Executive VP of R&D for
Ocean Nutrition Canada where he led 45 scientists working on the discovery of marine-
derived supplement and healthy food ingredients and technologies. Prior to that Professor
Barrow was a faculty member in the School of Chemistry at the University of Melbourne, and
has also spent a decade in the Japanese and American Biotech and Pharmacueticals
industries in the area of Natural Products Drug Discovery.

  1. Omega-3 Biotechnology and Bioprocessing
  2. Fermentation of marine microorganisms
  3. Alzheimer's disease and amyloid inhibitors
