Most cellular processes depend on large protein complexes. We are interested in how such protein
assemblies work and how their activities are regulated. In particular we study protein machines involved
in chromatin modification and RNA processing. Intriguingly, next to nothing is known about the formation
of these complexes inside the cell. Recent results from our research support a model for
co-translational complex formation and surveillance.

Research interests

  1. RNA processing and disease
  2. Histone modification and chromatin structure
  3. Assembly of large protein complexes
