I am interested in the contribution of science to public decision-making, particularly with regard
to environmental matters. Sound, informed specialist input is essential for a positive
environmental future. Such input is also critical for assessing and dealing with current
problems accurately and responsibly. I hope that my contributions in some small way will improve
our human interactions with the rest of the coastal environment.

Research interests

  1. Ecology of estuaries: human influences and environmental management
  2. Seagrass dynamics and responses to physical factors
  3. Coastal zone management and GIS
