Wenrong received his PhD degree in chemistry in 2002 from the University of New South Wales.
He then worked at CSIRO as a CSIRO postdoctoral fellow before returning to the University of
New South Wales in 2005. He was awarded a University of Sydney Research Fellowship in 2007,
and now is a lecturer at Deakin University. His research interests include nanomaterials-based
biosensors, molecular electronics, and producing nanostructured surfaces with unique
functionalities.
