Dr Rollo is a senior lecturer in design and is a strong advocate for collaborative and multi-
discipline education. Facilitating discourse on contemporary urban design issues for
governments communities, and industry, he developed the studio based design research
forum, 'Urbanheart Surgery', which advances a local/global sustainable healthy cities agenda
and allows students to engage with high profile strategic design projects significant to
Victorias future growth

Research interests

  1. The impact of demographic change on infrastructure & the urban environment
  2. The perception of the built environment and the design of open public spaces
  3. Ember attack and microclimate analysis at the urban/rural interface
