The School has been educating international students since 1974 and has an internationally diverse staff and student body. There are more than 220 international students enrolled in our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in architecture and construction management and exchange and study abroad students are a regular addition to our global numbers. All applicants, regardless of citizenship or country of origin, will be required to demonstrate English language proficiency prior to admission.
Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT) provides an excellent pathway for students who do not meet the admission requirements for Deakin University’s courses.

Currently there is no student accommodation at the Geelong Waterfront Campus where the School of Architecture & Built Environmet is situated. We recommend referring to Deakin's off-campus housing service for accomodation options in Geelong, or enquire about on-campus accomodation at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
