Science and Engineering Challenge

The Science and Engineering Challenge is a program designed to inspire students to study science, engineering and technology at Years 11 and 12. Deakin University will host the Geelong Challenge and also the Great South Coast Challenge (Warrnambool) in 2014.

Each day teams of year 10 students participate in activities designed to demonstrate the varied and practical elements of a career in the science and engineering industries.  Students take part in activities that encourage team work, innovation, problem solving and creativity.

Registrations for both regions are now open.  A total of 8 schools per day can compete, so don’t miss out!

The Challenge is an initiative from University of Newcastle and runs in every state and territory of Australia. In 2012 over 20,000 students participated nationally.

It works!
