IGNITED (Initiative for a Girls Network in Information Technology and Engineering @ Deakin) Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded to first year female students with the highest ATAR scores above 80 in either the Bachelor of Information Technology degrees (which include -Interactive Media, Games Design and Development, IT Security, and Computer Science and Software Development) , the Bachelor of Engineering degree (which includes major streams in Civil or Mechanical or Mechatronics and Robotics ) or a combined course which includes at least one of the above single degrees.

Value

Cash payment or student contributions of up to $5,000 per year over the duration of the course, conditional upon full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • female
  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a future student (current Year 12 in 2011 in Australia) enrolling full time in one of
    the Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Engineering degrees or relevant combined degrees in a Commonwealth Supported Place.

Selection criteria

Achieve a minimum ATAR of at least 80.
