Generally speaking, students should follow the most recent course map, eg: 2013, however this will vary depending on the number of units you have already completed. If in doubt, please contact your Course Advisor.

Students who are enrolled in version 2 of the combined courses, D375, D373, D372 (40 credit points) may need to contact Course Advisors for assistance.

Changes to course structures for 2013 enrolment - Please read carefully

All Majors

  • SIT294 Engineering Mathematics is no longer a core unit for Engineering and will be replaced by SEP291 Engineering Modelling
  • SEB323 has changed its code to SEB223
  • SEJ441 will be offered in Tri-1, Tri-2 and Tri-3 from 2013
  • SEJ442 will be replaced by SEJ446 (2 credit points) and will be offered in Tri-2 and Tri-3 in 2013 and from 2014 will be available in Tri-1, Tri-2 and Tri-3. Please note: D373 students enrolled in Version 2 (40 credit points) will choose SEJ442 instead of SEJ446.
  • SEB421 Financial and Strategic Issues in Engineering has been removed from offer.

Civil Major

  • SEV353 Reinforced Concrete Structures will be now offered in Tri-2
  • SEV454 Civil Engineering Design 1 has a change of name to Advanced Structural Design
  • SEV455 Civil Engineering Design 2 has a change of name to Water Systems Design and will be offered in Tri-1
  • SEV453 will be removed from offer from 2013
  • SEV414 Transportation Infrastructure will be a new core unit from 2013

Electrical and Electronics Major

  • SEE209 Photonics will not to be offered and will be replaced by SEE205 Analogue Electronics
  • SEE306 VLSI Design will not be offered and will be replaced by SEE309 Power Systems Protection and Relaying
  • SEE215 Microprocessor Principle has a change of name to Microcontroller Principles
  • SEE308 Electro-Magnetics and Machines has a change of name to Electrical Machines
  • SEE317 RF Electronics has been removed from offer
  • SEE206 Electronic Measurement and Interfacing has a change of name to Measurement and Instrumentation
  • SEE405 Smart Electrical Distribution has a change of name to Smart Generation and Transmission and will be offered from 2014
  • SEE406 Electrical Control and Safety has a change of name to Electrical Systems and Safety and will be offered from 2015
  • SEE434 Control Engineering has changed its code to SEE344

Mechatronics and Robotics Major

  • SEE215 Microprocessor Principle has a change of name to Microcontroller Principles
  • SEE206 Electronic Measurement and Interfacing has a change of name to Measurement and Instrumentation
