| Economic cost and burden of allergy is significant worldwide, which can be difficult to manage and can prove fatal. The focus of my NeuroAllergy Research Laboratory (NARL) is to study the environmental and molecular biology of allergens and the allergic reaction, and identify novel inhibitors for allergy prevention and treatment. In addition, we study the importance of omega-3 fatty acids in human neuronal cell survival to develop novel intervention strategies for neurodegenerative diseases. Research interests
