I am broadly interested in the interaction between physiology and behaviour, and understanding the
ecological and evolutionary implications of this interaction. I am fascinated by variation and much of
my research examines why animals differ and how these differences are important. My current
research with Dr. Pete Biro examines the role metabolism in shaping individual differences in
behaviour.

Research interests

  1. Physiological ecology
  2. Life history trade-offs
  3. Individual variation (personality)
