Andrew Bennett has broad research interests in landscape ecology and conservation biology, with an
overarching goal of providing knowledge and understanding that will enhance the conservation of
biodiversity. He is particularly interested in studying patterns and processes in relation to land use in
agricultural environments, and in natural ecosystems subject to fire. His research group collaborates
extensively with colleagues in other Universities and in government agencies, and is committed to
effective communication of the outcomes of their research.

Research interests

  1. Landscape ecology; patterns and processes associated with anthropogenic land-use change and fire
  2. Conservation biology and ecology of wildlife species
  3. Ecology of temperate woodland and semi-arid mallee ecosystems and their biota
