I completed undergraduate studies at Curtin University, moved to South Africa and Rhodes
University where I completed both Honours and Masters degrees, in Ichthyology and Fisheries
Science. I moved back to Australia and completed my PhD at Murdoch and DipEd at UWA.
Areas of work have been fish ecology in freshwater and marine environments and more
recently marine habitat mapping in inshore waters using GIS and hydro-accoustic methods. I
have ongoing interests in shark and estuarine ecology

Research interests

  1. GIS & remote sensing applications, marine habitat mapping
  2. Estuarine ecology and physical environment
  3. Fish and shark ecology
