| I am an ecologist with a great interest in animal migration, particularly intercontinental migrants such as shorebirds. My focus is on timing of events such as migration, breeding, moult withing the annual cycle and potential trade-offs and fitness consequences. A key element of my work has been in foraging ecology and I have been involved in various tracking studies. Currently, I also venture more into the fields of physiological and disease ecology.
