I'm an ecologist with research interests in animal and plant ecology. I’m primarily interested in spatial
processes in populations and ecosystems, particularly patterns of distribution, movement and dispersal.
The current focus of my research is the ecology of waterbirds, migratory connectivity in bird populations
and the role of avian vectors in the transmission of zoonotic disease. Other interests include patterns of
dispersal in parasitic plants.

Research interests

  1. movement ecology of waterfowl
  2. avian zoonotic disease
  3. spatial modelling
