Discover your wild side at Deakin
Second and third year Environmental science students discover their wild side at Deakin as they participate in a field trip to the wilderness of the Otway Ranges to study wildlife. In this trip, students draw on their undergraduate training to plan and conduct a major six day wildlife survey. Whether it is setting mammal traps, deploying remote infra-red cameras or navigating off-trail through the wilderness, students gain invaluable hands-on experience and develop real world skills which are highly attractive to potential employers. Few job applicants can claim the depth of actual field experience acquired by Deakin’s Environmental Science graduates. So, enjoy this video - do you see yourself as one of these students?
