As an international student, Nishad Shah researched options world-wide for an information technology degree.

He says it was an industry-based-learning (IBL) opportunity in his final semester that secured his employment pathway.

‘Deakin gave me the opportunity to work in a six-month IBL placement... after completing this, I was confident enough to start applying for graduate positions and I am now working in IT for one of the largest Australian retailers.’

Nishad says Deakin gave him a solid foundation for his career.
