Bachelor of Engineering - Mechatronics and Robotics major, 2009
Currently: studying Doctor of Philosophy

‘I chose postgraduate study at Deakin because during my undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Engineering - Mechatronics and Robotics major) it occurred to me that my main interest in robotics was the cutting-edge technologies and new inventions... I was keen to get involved with the groundbreaking research at the postgraduate level being done by the Centre for Intelligent Systems Research (CISR) group.

I’m currently working on a joint research project between the CISR and Boeing Research & Technology-Australia.

I am studying an image-processing technique called super-resolution, which involves combining several low resolution images to create a higher resolution image.

What I enjoy most about my research is teetering on the edge of what is currently known, and the unknown. It is great to have the freedom each day to follow your ideas and see where they lead you. It’s also inspiring to think that when I come up with a new idea I may be the first person to have ever had that thought and that my work actually results in new knowledge.’
