Re-enrolment

Re-enrol now

Welcome to the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment Re-enrolment website. This website provides you with all the information you need to re-enrol in your course.

Why should I re-enrol?

If you don’t re-enrol, and you aren’t finishing your degree in 2012, you risk losing your place at Deakin University and you will have to re-apply for entry.

Who should re-enrol?

All students who are not completing their degree in 2012 will need to re-enrol including those:

  • Who anticipate that their academic progress may be unsatisfactory in 2012
  • With an approved intermission for Trimester 2 2012 and/or Trimester 3 2012 and/or Trimester 1 2013
  • Who are applying to transfer to another course within Deakin University

Students who are contemplating a period of intermission (leave of absence) in 2013 are asked to re-enrol to hold their place in the course and then make a final decision on intermitting prior to the commencement of Trimester 1 2013.

When should I re-enrol?

Re-enrolment for 2013 opens on September 3 and closes on September 30.

What happens if I don’t re-enrol during this time?

  • If you are a Commonwealth Supported (HECS) student and you do not re-enrol by the published deadlines, you may lose your place.
  • If you do not re-enrol by the deadline you may incur a $200 late re-enrolment fee.

What should I re-enrol in?

You need to re-enrol in ALL units you wish to study in 2013 - in both Trimester 1 and Trimester 2.
Students who expect to complete the course at the end of Trimester 1 2013 do not need to enrol for Trimester 2 2013.

How do I re-enrol?

Re-enrolling is easy.

  • Choose the units you wish to study in 2013 - in both Trimester 1 and Trimester 2.
  • Go to the ‘Enrol in Unit/Course’ link on the Student Connect website to add your 2013 units - www.deakin.edu.au/studentconnect.
  • Ensure that you select the 2013 academic period once you have logged into StudentConnect and most importantly, ensure that you get to Step 5 of 5 of the online enrolment process and obtain a receipt for your enrolment. No receipt = no valid 2013 enrolment.

Note: Re-enrolment will not be permitted for students with administrative encumbrances (e.g. library fines etc). Students with encumbrances will need to resolve these first before they are able to re-enrol.
