The Barwon Water Achievement Award

The Barwon Water Achievement Award is given to one student located in the Barwon Water catchment area who is entering the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) course.

Selection criteria

To be eligible for this Achievement Award you must:

  • have completed secondary school within the Barwon Water catchment area to be eligible for the Achievement Award.
  • be available to complete paid annual employment program at Barwon Water during trimester breaks.

Selection will be based on ATAR score and an interview. 

Value

The Barwon Water Achievement Award is valued at $5000 upon completion of the first year and the annual vacation employment program provided that

  1. the student is enrolled in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) program
  2. maintains a high level of academic achievement

Duration

The duration is the equivalent of the four year full-time Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) course. In addition to the one off $5,000 prize award, an annual vacation employment program for the duration of the degree is offered, subject to satisfactory progress, for the duration of the course.
