Visitors to Deakin who are members of participating eduroam institutions are able to connect wirelessly at Deakin, as long as they have configured their devices according to instructions provided by their home institution.
All visitors to Deakin who wish to use the eduroam service must abide by the wireless usage guidelines.
Visiting staff and students to Deakin have access to Virtual Private Network (VPN) services. The specifications of the eduroam network at Deakin can be found in the useful technical information.
Visitors to Deakin who wish to use eduroam must ensure they have set up their eduroam wireless connection according to the instructions provided by their home institution. The Deakin eduroam settings will not work for visitors.

In order to access any resources at your home institution or to access general internet services, Deakin requires you to establish a VPN connection with your home institution. Contact your home institution's IT Service Desk prior to arriving at Deakin to ensure you can make a VPN connection with your home institution's IT systems, and can access general internet services through this. Alternatively refer to the guidelines from your home institution on setting up your VPN connection.
Deakin does not allow direct HTTP/HTTPS access.
