Compression is used to reduce the size of large files before transferring or storing them. A compressed file may contain one or more files including installer files for software, readme files, or settings files. Usually the files are "archived" into a compressed format to save space and to make it easy to copy files quickly.
Note: Deakin has a license for WinZip which covers STAFF ONLY. Staff members should download and install the Staff Only licensed version, all other users should download the General Access version.
