Some software, such as Microsoft Office 2013 and LibreOffice, can save your document as PDF without needing any additional software. For programs that can't, doPDF is a print driver that will create a PDF file - simply print to doPDF to make simple PDF documents, readable by anyone with the Adobe Reader.
doPDF is not intended as a substitute for a fully featured authoring application such as the full Acrobat package, but it enables you to present your document to users on many different computing platforms, and have it appear as you intended it.
Mac users: Create a PDF file from the print dialog of any application.
