Phoenix

This Software download page is ONLY for use on Deakin University workstations NOT currently using the standardised Phoenix scheme. It includes all required software for the operation of Microsoft Outlook 2007 for Windows and Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac at Deakin University.

If your staff workstation is a Phoenix PC or Mac, click the "Phoenix - Fix Mandatory Software" icon from your Start menu or Dock to install these onto your computer. Installing software from the Software Library can cause incompatibilities with the software provided by Phoenix. If you would like to upgrade your staff computer to the Phoenix environment, please contact the ITSD Service Desk.

Microsoft Office

Downloading the small (<1.0MB) Installation Activator provided here will enable you to initiate the installation of Microsoft Office on your computer. If you have a Phoenix PC or Mac, Microsoft Office should already be installed. You can update or repair Microsoft Office by opening the "Phoenix - Fix Mandatory Software" icon in your Start menu (Win) or Dock (Mac).

Note: Microsoft Office is available to STAFF ONLY, and is only licensed for installation on University workstations and staff home computers.

Note: This installer for Microsoft Office requires a direct connection to the University network. The installation is approximately 830MB for Windows and 530MB for Mac, and is not suitable for installation via a dial-up internet service. Installing from home may significantly impact your broadband internet quota with your home internet service provider.

If you would prefer to install from a CD, you can order one at the Dimension Data website. Registration requires a Deakin email address and cost is kept at a minimum.
