About iLecture at Deakin

iLecture is an automated lecture capture and online delivery system.

iLecture recorders have been installed into a number of venues and are able to capture video and audio sources controlled by the lectern AV control panel. e.g. PC, document camera, DVD, VCR, room cameras (where available) and microphones.

The process of having a lecture recorded involves scheduling lecture times into the iLecture system, which automatically records the lecture, compresses the recording into various formats then updates the unit's iLecture web page.

The iLecture system is capable of recording and publishing media from other sources including offair television and radio programs.

Staff can upload their own recordings using the web based iLecture Staff Tool.

Students access the iLecture recordings from links in their Deakin Studies Online (DSO) unit.

Recordings are available in a combination of video and audio formats to suit different network speeds.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
