New iLecture features

The latest iLecture upgrade includes new feaures to improve accessibility and enable lecture ratings to be accessed for all formats, excluding podcasts. (Note: Not all units have lecture ratings turned on.)


 

Feature: iLecture pages now have Deakin look and feel.

With units appearing in faculty colours.

Feature: Recording list 'open' button.

  • Note: Streaming and Download drop down menus now clearly labelled
  • Select the desired format
  • Click the open button to the right of the selected format

Feature: Podcast link(s) 'select all' button.

  • Click the 'subscribe to this podcast' link at the top of the recordings list page
  • Click the 'select all' button to the right of the Podcast Link you wish to access
  • Copy the link (e.g. from your browser's menu or right mouse click)
  • Paste the link into your podcasting software (e.g. iTunes)

Feature: Lecture ratings accessible from all media formats (excluding podcasts)

How it works:

  • Choose a format from either the Streaming or Download dropdown menus
  • Click 'open'
  • If the recording has ratings enabled it will appear in the 'castor' window (see below copyright warning.)
  • After viewing/listening to the recording
  • Choose a rating
  • Enter a comment
  • Click the 'submit' button
