Our Role
The Off-Campus Housing Service offers assistance to all Deakin students wanting to organise accommodation. We are part of the Division of Student Life within Deakin University. Student Life and our service partners aim to enrich the learning experience and life opportunities of all Deakin University students through a range of high quality, innovative, responsive and efficient services, which are relevant to and underpin the core teaching, research and international activities of the University. It is our role to offer support to students to find somewhere to call home while they study at Deakin. We have Housing Officers available at each Campus to assist students with their housing needs. Our service maintains a housing database of local properties for rent by students. Check out our Consider cost of accommodation link for current accommodation types and the approximate cost for each.
Housing Officers can assist students with:
- Accessing our housing database and identifying suitable properties
- Making appointments to view properties
- Completing application forms
- Information about different types of rental properties
- Understanding your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- A resource library of tenant information in various languages.
