Short term accommodation
Deakin strongly recommends that you stay in temporary accommodation for the first week or two in order to find a suitable longer term accommodation option. Many students want to move straight into permanent accommodation and attempt to organise this prior to their arrival. This can be very dangerous and many students end up losing their money. The safest and best option is to organise a few nights of temporary accommodation for when you arrive, so that our Housing Officers can work together with you to find suitable long term accommodation.
