Implementation of services is based on a range of factors which include discussion with the student, information supplied in supporting documentation, previous disability support received, available technology, and the longer term view of a student’s needs and independence.
Students need to be responsible for their own attendant care and transport, should undertake self advocacy wherever possible, and must abide by University guidelines and agreements regarding support services.
If you require services you should register with the DRC. Registration forms are provided in Deakin University’s undergraduate or postgraduate studies handbook, at the Student Life reception desk, at Deakin Central or on the DRC website.
