The Learning Disability Assessment Service is an innovative service established by Deakin University as part of a range of specialist services within the Division of Student Life. Registered psychologists, as well as trained probationary psychologists under supervision, conduct psychometric testing of clients experiencing learning difficulties, and provide a detailed assessment report.
The assessment process will encompass an initial structured interview, the
testing procedure, a detailed written report which includes a specific diagnosis
and recommendations for learning strategies and possible accommodations. The
interview and testing are likely to take place over several appointments.
