Learning Disability Assessment Service

The Learning Disability Assessment Service is an innovative service established by Deakin University as part of a range of specialist services within the Division of Student Life.  Registered psychologists, as well as trained probationary psychologists under supervision, conduct psychometric testing of clients experiencing learning difficulties, and provide a detailed assessment report.

The assessment process will encompass an initial structured interview, the testing procedure, a detailed written report which includes a specific diagnosis and recommendations for learning strategies and possible accommodations. The interview and testing are likely to take place over several appointments.

The Learning Disability Assessment Service is available to current or potential university or TAFE students as well as individuals in the community who may be experiencing learning difficulties in a work or study environment.
