Can the licence agreement be broken early?

Should your child decide to vacate residence prior to the termination of their residency agreement they will forfeit the year-long occupancy rate and revert to a casual rate.

Four weeks notice is required to leave residence during the period of accommodation.  The only exception to this requirement is if it is no longer possible for the student to live in residence due to medical or other exceptional circumstances.

Residents who leave during the academic year before their licence has expired will be charged at a casual charge for their time in residence. Once a "Notification of Intention to Vacate" form is submitted, the resulting vacating date determines the charge.
