Late applications for the Geelong campus at Waurn Ponds and the
Melbourne campus at Burwood seldom obtain a place.
Accommodation offers for new domestic students are made in conjunction with
the release of University course offers. This is due to the tight timelines
associated with the release of University places and the residential offer
being made and accepted before the University year commences.
There is a great deal of competition for places and it is best to submit an application to avoid disappointment. Very few late offers are made.
In order to apply for a place in residences applications must be accompanied
by a non-refundable $AUD50.00 application fee (GST inclusive). This fee covers all administrative costs in preparing
your application for selection.
If you are unsure which Deakin campus you will be studying at, simply indicate all campuses you are interested in on the application form. Once University course offers are made, we will adapt your application to match the campus where you will be studying.
Whilst university accommodation is not available at the Geelong Waterfront campus, many students live on residence at the Geelong campus at Waurn Ponds and commute for their studies.
It is approximately 8 kilometres from the Geelong campus at Waurn Ponds to the Geelong Waterfront campus. For those students who don’t have their own transport, a regular bus service operates daily.
