Introduction to Biostatistics using Stata

Day 2 - Tuesday 8 November, 9:00am-5:00pm

On Day 2 there will again be 4 sessions (approx. 2 hours per session) and each session will focus briefly on particular statistical methods.

It would be expected that participants have a greater understanding of the methodology. This day will briefly introduce and discuss the topics, it is “more of a show and tell” day about Stata and its programming structure.

Session 1 and 2 – Introduction to Meta-Analysis - random and fixed effects models

Session 3 and 4 – Introduction to Logistic, Poisson and Negative Binomial regression modelling.

Attending to the hands-on learning nature of the workshop the number of vacancies is set at 25 for each day. A participant may attend one or two days depending on the level of skills and knowledge.

Participants will be required to bring along a laptop with Stata 14.0 (or earlier) already installed.
