Including works by some of Australia's leading contemporary artists, this exhibition will close on 19 July. Make sure you see it!

As part of the exhibition, artist Hannah Bertram has created an amazing, temporary artwork by transforming dust and ash into an ornamental carpet.  Join Hannah and exhibition curator Emma Cox in the Gallery for a free lunchtime floor talk on Friday 18 July at 12.30pm.

Check out this year's exhibition program and get your culture fix in 2014. We'd love to see you at the Gallery.

Keepsakes and curiosities -  Deakin's desk drawers exhibition

Something new is coming to Deakin campuses – a snapshot of the last 40 years of Deakin history built out of the things we use most often. Did you know Deakin were inter-university sporting champions in 1995? Or that lectures were recorded all the way back in 1989?

For the past six months Deakin staff have been scouring their cupboards, cabinets, and yes, desk drawers, to find the old, the weird and the wonderful Deakin memorabilia they've accumulated over the decades.

Check the dates for your campus and come see the history of Deakin in a whole new way:
