Exams and Assessment

Examination information

Some of your units may have an exam as part of your assessment, so it's vital that you read through the Assessments page. This site provides you with information on assessments, exam timetables and locations, as well as important exam instructions.

Assignments

As a cloud (online) student, it's crucial you understand how to submit your assignments and the importance of a cover sheet. At the beginning of the trimester, make sure you record not only the due dates of your assignments, but also when you need to post them to ensure the Assignment Tracking staff receive them by the due date. Again, refer to the Assessments page.

Special consideration

Special consideration is intended to assist students who, due to circumstances beyond their control, have been disadvantaged in their assessment tasks in comparison to other students.

Deakin Card

The Division of Student Administration (Deakin Central) is responsible for issuing your Deakin Card, which is your student ID at Deakin. Cloud (online) students are required to send a passport size photo of 1024x1024 pixel photo to:

Deakin University
Deakin Central
Locked Bag 20000
GEELONG VIC 3220

If you prefer to send your photo electronically, make sure it is a passport style photo and send it in JPG format to the following email enquire@deakin.edu.au.

If you have any question or want to ensure that you enclose the appropriate documentation, you should contact Deakin Central on 03 5227 2333 or email them at the email address above.

If you live near a Deakin campus, you can visit any Deakin Central office and they will take your photo and provide a card at that time.
