Do I need a new CoE?
Carefully read the following 4 steps and then submit your application for a CoE.
Step 1: Are you currently enrolled?
You can not be issued a new CoE if you are not enrolled.
Email a Compliance Officer if you have any questions about your eligibility for a new CoE.
Step 2: Does your current CoE or visa expire before the end of the current trimester?
If your CoE or visa expires after the results for the current study period have been released, you should wait until you have received your results for the current trimester before lodging your application for a new CoE.
Of course, if your visa is due to expire, you MUST apply for a new CoE before your visa expires.
Please note: Your new CoE will take up to 10 working days to issue. You must leave enough time to apply for and receive your CoE before your visa expires.
Step 3: Have you received your results for the most recent trimester?
Applying for a new CoE before your results are released may require another visa extension later on. It is recommended that you wait until you have received your results for the most recent trimester before applying for a new CoE.
Of course, if your visa or COE is due to expire before you get your results, you MUST apply for a new CoE before your visa or current CoE expires.
Step 4: Applying for your CoE
If you have carefully read the previous 3 steps and you are certain that you need a new CoE, please go ahead and submit your application now.
Please read the form carefully. Ensure that your visa expiry date is clearly entered in the form - not your CoE end date.
Applications that are incorrect or incomplete will not be processed and will delay the time taken to issue your new CoE.
You should submit your application ONCE only. If you do not receive your CoE within 10 days, DO NOT submit another application, but email firstname.lastname@example.org to check on the status of your application.
