Commercial law

In today's highly regulated business climate, there is high demand for graduates with commercial law expertise. Deakin's commercial law courses are designed for those who have an interest in business law and those who wish to learn more about specific areas of law, particularly within Australia.

Undergraduate

If you have good written and oral communication skills, can analyse and solve problems logically and have an understanding of sound business principles, studying commercial law could be the springboard to a fruitful and rewarding career.

Commercial Law is studied as a major in a number of undergraduate courses including Deakin's Bachelor of Commerce - an internationally recognised and EPAS acccredited business degree.  Deakin is the only Australian university with an EPAS accredited Bachelor of Commerce.

Postgraduate

Commercial law is a vast and constantly changing area that is inevitably the domain of those with highly specialised expertise. Business graduates with commercial law knowledge will have the capacity to deal with legal issues through an associated understanding of the broader corporate/policy issues. Commercial law is offered as a specialisation in the Deakin MBA, as listed below.

Please note: Course lengths may vary in response to requirements under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Applicants should refer to the handbook for the latest information.
